Lacrosse used to be a sport that only amateurs get to play at college or high school level. Participants can be of both genders, male and female. The games shall begin with center face-offs. This is similar to soccer. Goalies will be the only players allowed to touch the balls with their hands. Even if the sport is considered the contact type, players may still commit some personal and technical fouls should they exhibit unusual roughness. Fouls may also be called for stick checking.

Because the sport has become so popular, many camps are now being organized for training enthusiasts. The challenge will not be on finding one camp but on joining a camp that is able to train you real good.

Some may even cater to providing training themselves, but of course, with a fee.
