A person's deepest and innermost aspiration has always been achieving harmony and self-perfection. Though this is extremely hard because of the human's mixed, perplexed and sometimes contradictory nature, one of the most widespread and effective ways of reaching this goal efficiently is by practicing yoga. With its unique ability to deliver excellent physical and spiritual health and inner peace, London yoga is not only a practice, but also a spiritual teaching, philosophy and a way of life.

The fundamentals of this practice are thought to have originated more than five millenniums ago in India. Since then it has been gaining popularity all around the world, constantly earning millions of dedicated followers. Everybody who practices this hobby aims at finding the excellent harmony and balance between spirit, body and universe.

Yoga, as a practice and philosophy, includes several principles that every follower should stick to, which is essential for reaching highest results. The first principle is correctly doing various body positions, named "asanas", which can be different in level of body strain and complexity. Finding the right balance between soul and body can be achieved by doing these movements and this is why they are extremely important. Asanas can take effect only if their performance is pleasing to the body and healthy for the mental and physical state of their doers.

"Pranayama" is the second principle, which represents the art of correct breathing. Pranayama's goal is to show how to use most effectively one's lungs, giving prominence to how important it is to control one's breathing. It should be even, slow and deep, which can lead to only positive results such as a clear mind and improved vitality.

Another basic component which every practitioner must seek is relaxation. This is one of the main purposes of yoga because after all, if relaxation can't be reached, then it becomes pointless. Relaxation is all about loosening the muscles and reinforcing the spirit, which rejuvenates the nervous system and ensures a steady peace of mind.

The next binding rule to obtain sound body and mind is nutrition, which role must not be undervalued. Practicing yoga is all about leading a healthy and vital lifestyle, so paying close attention to one's food and how his constitution is affected by taking it should be another priority. A sound mind can live happily and peacefully only in a sound body, so it must be fed with healthy and wholesome food.

Meditation and positive thinking is perhaps the most important principle which, if achieved effectively, brings a divine feeling of completeness. Meditation represents the process of attaining harmony with oneself and the outside world, resulting in spiritual merging with the universe. This can be reached by following different techniques and of course through positive and creative thinking.

It must be emphasized that practicing London yoga can be quite difficult at times. Lots of mental and physical dedication and will is required, so one must be patient, steady and optimistic. Being able to maintain such determination is not easy, but once the results are positive, the effect would be auspicious, long-lasting and really promising.
